The Business Quiz Club is a dynamic forum that brings together students who have a passion for the world of business, economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. The club aims to develop awareness about current business trends, corporate affairs, and economic developments, while nurturing analytical and problem-solving skills among its members.
The Astro Club is one of the most dynamic and vibrant student communities of the
Physics Department. It serves as a hub for students who are passionate about
exploring the mysteries of the universe. The club provides a platform to go beyond
the classroom, combining curiosity with hands-on experience.
The club actively engages students in a variety of enriching activities that combine
learning with exploration. With two advanced telescopes—the Meade ETX90 and a
Celestron Newtonian Reflector—members regularly participate in stargazing sessions
and the tracking of celestial events such as eclipses and lunar phases. To strengthen
practical skills, workshops and training sessions are conducted on telescope handling,
astrophotography. The club also invites eminent scientists, astronomers, and guest
speakers to deliver insightful lectures on cutting-edge topics in astrophysics, space
science, and cosmology. In addition, astronomy camps are organized offering
students’ first-hand exposure to the wonders of the cosmos.
The BIS Standards Club is an initiative of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India, aimed at fostering a culture of quality, safety, and standardization among students and teachers in educational institutions. By engaging young minds in activities related to standards, the club nurtures responsible citizens who value quality and contribute to nation-building. A unit of Standard club was formed at our college in 2023.
Standard Club BIS activities involve educational programs such as seminars, workshops, and quizzes on quality and standards, competitions like essay writing and standard writing, and exposure visits to BIS labs or certified industries to provide practical understanding of testing and quality assessment
Entrepreneurial Culture amongst youth and equip them with the skills, techniques, and confidence to act as torch-bearers of entrepreneurship of the new generation.
