Department of History

The newest department of Dayapuram College, Prof. Uma Chakravarty, eminent historian and filmmaker, officially inaugurated BA History program on 10th of January 2022. The vision of the department is not confined to education and empowerment, but thrives also on sculpting a community that is accountable, obliged and passionate on past, for the benefit of future.

Bachelor of Arts in History – 40 SEATS

An undergraduate programme of three years, BA History helps to inculcate social sensibility and ensure social experience to the learners. As an Arts subject, history entails different social values, responsibilities and endeavours. To fulfil this obligation many projects and activities, both curricular and extra-curricular are led by the department.
